Give Thanks to the Lord! The Fishers… Montgomery, Alabama Maternity Photographer

Before I tell you Carrie and Doug’s story, I want to just scream, “I LOVE THIS FAMILY!”

12 and a half years ago, two people, who were very much in love, got married.   They loved each other so much, they decided to have lots of babies.   After many years, the close couple still did not have children.   They were told by Doctors that there was virtually NO chance they would ever conceive.  So…they prayed and decided to adopt a child.  Not too long after they applied for adoption, they found their match.  Blue eyed Cooper was born almost 6 years ago and came to live with his earthly family who loved him soooo much!  Blue eyed Cooper, Carrie and Doug lived happily ever after.  Waitaminute?  That’s not all!  Last Spring, Carrie and Doug learned they had a bun in the oven…after 12.5 years!!   For real!!  Many prayers had been lifted in their behalf.  Now at 32 weeks, this adorable couple is about to welcome baby brother Jack.  I just want to squeeze Carrie’s cheeks, and Doug’s, and Cooper’s.  Is that weird?

So, get ready to see a lot of this fam over the next year b/c they are “baby planning” it with me.  Yeah, uh huh.

Please join me  and pray for baby Jack to make a healthy entrance into the world.  I cannot wait to meet him!

Fall Mini Sessions! Montgomery, Alabama Portrait Photographer

Saturday, I had my first 4 mini sessions of the season!  One of the families doesn’t want pictures shared until after Christmas so the card will be a surprise.  I will have more to share after Santa comes. 🙂 All three of these families are back from last year!  Here are just a few more preview pics before I send out galleries.  🙂  It wasn’t just a wee bit chilly for the 8:00 session, it was down right cold!  Isn’t this Alabama?

Lara - Morgan could not be any cuter! Michelle looks great too!

Congratulations Mr. & Mrs. Hall! Montgomery, Alabama Wedding Photographer

It is so good to be able to share this preview with you!   When I met with the bride, Rebecca, she said, “I don’t want a lot of pictures of myself.”  Of course I was wondering, “why not” b/c she is STUNNING!

It was a gorgeous day to get married!  The wedding ceremony was small and took place at the chapel in Faulkner University’s Bible building.   We then drove to Lanark, the Alabama Wildlife Federation, for the reception.   I had only been there with my children on field trips, but it is an awesome wedding location.   Rebecca was just so relaxed and believe it or not, the serious shots below were the ONLY time all day she wasn’t smiling or laughing. Ivy Davis from Icing Illusions made the beautiful cakes.  Of course, there are  PLENTY more pictures, these just made it to “my favorites.”

“Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. It is not rude, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres.”  1 Corinthians 13 4-7

Chandler at RTJ! {Senior} Montgomery, Alabama Senior Photographer…

I don’t want to embarrass her, but I think Chandler looks a whole lot like Kate Middleton, Prince William’s wife.  She is so naturally gorgeous!!  I mean…THAT hair and THOSE eyes!   She is super smart and planning to go to either Auburn or Alabama on scholarship.  Roll Tide.  😉  We had a great time exploring Robert Trent Jones in Prattville.  We almost got run over by some mad golf cart drivers a few times, but I like to live on the edge.  😉  Thanks for being such a great sport, Chandler!  I hope you enjoy these!  It’s a large share b/c I love them ALL!

Cortney Smith - Allison!!!! I LOVE THEM ALL! You did an incredible job, she is such a beautiful girl! Great work!

Lara - Beautiful! Love the location!

Melinda Pemberton - Allison!! They are perfect! Thank you, Thank you!!

Christina - Wow! These are absolutely stunning! Chandler is gorgeous and your photography is incredible!

Pumpkin Sport {my kids}… Montgomery, Alabama Children’s Photographer

It’s Fall!  I am loving this cooler weather…except for the mouse I found in my bathtub this morning.  For real.

It’s Ford’s 12th birthday today.  He is home sick with fever. 🙁  I guess he’d rather be home from school on his b’day.

Yesterday, the kids and I took off for one of my favorite shooting spots for their Fall pictures.  It was WINDY!

I would like to introduce you to “photographer’s child syndrome.”  The symptoms include but are not limited to- whining, crying, fake cheese smiles, complaining, running away from me to slide down a hill, running away from me to watch a video on my phone, running away from me to tear into their reward sucker before the session is over, hitting each other, popping each other on the bum, throwing dirt, and so on and so forth.

I REALLY wanted to make this fun for them.  I mean, if it isn’t fun, I know I’m not going to get the desired results.  I decided that turning our pumpkins into balls were the ticket…and, it worked.  Surprisingly, the boys were more cooperative than the girl in the polka dotted dress.  That girl…

Fall pictures—check!

…and, that’s my Copie…kissing the pumpkin b/c he’s that sort. 😉

Jenny - Oh my goodness! Ford looks like a different boy in the picture where he’s kneeling! Love the picture of them holding hands and AW kicking her leg up 🙂

Jenny - or is that Copeland kneeling? I can’t tell 🙂 He looks so much like David, though!

admin - Jenny, it is Ford on the right. He does look like his daddy! 🙂 Thanks for the comment!

Amye - Gorgeous!

Jill Cribb - So cute! You are such a great photographer….love AW’s dress…where did you find it?

Cortney Smith - Allison!!! How in the world do you get your own kids to do this? I love these they look sooooo great! You make it look effortless!!!

Lindsey - I thought the same thing; Ford looks so different….maybe more like a young man, not a little boy. These are adorable Allison!

admin - Thanks everyone! Jill, her dress is Hannah Kate via their special collection. 🙂

Melissa Lester - Gorgeous, Allison! I think you are teasing about the session difficulties. The shoot looks perfect!

Christine - so sweet. I love them all!!!
